Dirty Elections

Have you ever noticed how many monumental achievements are revealed by politicians of both parties, but only around election time? The magnificent and selfless legislations that miraculously materialize from out of nowhere, just before a major election, are not to be believed. Miracles that, like Christ creating fine wine from water, or a feast out of naught but a fish or two, are usually hollow and bogus to the core!

In reality, however, many an idea of social value, is usually the creations or concepts of an unknown staff member or ghostwriter, unless, of course, you believe in fairytales. You know the type - he or she is usually a nameless face whose God-Given Genius is forever buried under the excrement of overly ambitious fools.

These labors of love and intelligence, however, are quickly pilfered by some wretched political cad who sees the fruits of creativity in others as naught but a financial blood bank. Something to be sucked dry by people who in themselves, lack any real talent, save for those of deception and a voracious hunger for that which belongs to others. ?These are the eternal usurpers to whom the end always justifies the means!?

Have you ever paused to wonder if these persons of limitless ambition are really up to the responsibilities of public office? Or if those whom we elect are naught but hollow beings, which like an empty clamshell in the sand, only reverberate with the stolen words and ideas of others?

The man or woman who is greatly gifted with talent and dedication, but is lacking in name recognition, rarely, if ever, scales the heights of Olympus! And unfortunately for us all, those who do usually devour all that is eatable, leaving nothing but air and tainted scraps for those who hunger the most!

?And here we go again - 7 November 2006!!?
