Extremist Content Online: Pro-ISIS Magazine “Voice Of Hind” #11 Released

(New York, N.Y.) – The Counter Extremism Project (CEP) reports weekly on the methods used by extremists to exploit the Internet and social media platforms to recruit followers and incite violence. Last week, the eleventh issue of the pro-ISIS web magazine “Voice of Hind” was released on numerous websites and featured an article allegedly written by ISIS supporters in the Maldives that stressed the importance of encouraging and planning attacks in the West, as well as attacks targeting Westerners in the Maldives and the country’s military and police. In addition, ISIS-affiliated Amaq News released a video on Telegram showing the executions of five men identified as Christians in Borno State, Nigeria.

Also, the neo-Nazi Nordic Resistance Movement Telegram channel and Parler account posted photographs from the group’s anti-vaccine propaganda efforts in Denmark, which showed the group’s flyers alleging that the vaccine is “untested.” Additionally, the notorious neo-Nazi James Mason appeared on a podcast hosted by the admins of an infamous neo-Nazi accelerationist Telegram channel where he explained the core tenets of his book Siege with the hosts and answered questions from listeners.

Meanwhile, a prominent neo-Nazi accelerationist Telegram channel with over 7,000 subscribers released a manifesto calling for global unity, stating that white supremacists must transcend the concept of nationalism and commit acts of accelerationist terrorism. In addition, CEP researchers located a website that features a collection of approximately 40 songs that promotes acts of violence and terrorism against people of color, Jews, women, and the LGBTQ community. Finally, a Russian neo-Nazi group is soliciting cryptocurrency on Telegram, claiming they use donations for social activities, website maintenance, propaganda, and creating offline programming.

Neo-Nazis Push Anti-Covid-19 Vaccine Propaganda

On December 20 and December 30, the primary neo-Nazi Nordic Resistance Movement Telegram channel and its Parler account posted photographs from the group’s anti-vaccine propaganda efforts in Denmark. The pictures show the group’s flyers alleging that the vaccine is “untested.” In March, the group’s leader, Simon Lindberg, stated that the virus’s long-term effects on society, especially economic damage, could benefit the NRM.

Numerous white supremacist and neo-Nazi Telegram channels have also promoted anti-COVID-19 vaccine propaganda. Multiple channels with thousands of subscribers have stated that the vaccine is either unsafe or a tool for social control. Some Telegram outlets are hoping to make the vaccine issue a political flashpoint. Many neo-Nazi propagandists, especially those embracing accelerationism, seek to weaken government authority and promote social discord.
