Women Inventors
Can you name some Famous or not so famous female inventors and the items they invented?
Here's one to start us off (saw this on the history channel the other night)... Madam C.J. Walker - She was the first black millionaire. In the late 1800s she invented a tonic to encourage hair growth. It really worked and she patented the product. Hedy Lamarr - World Famous Actress and holder of several patents. One of which was a radio guidance system for rocket propulsion. Using what they called random skip frequency to keep the enemy of jamming the signal. She invented and patented this during WWII. Who else can you name? There are so many out there you would be so surprised. I could tell you most of them but then where would the fun be in that? DL
