Default Pledge Allegiance

I can't believe some federal judge has declared that reciting the Pledge of Allegiance in schools is unconstitutional because of "one nation under God". BY God it is one nation under God. This federal judge needs to be replaced immediately. The liberals are trying to take away the foundation our nation was made from. I wish they would all leave.

Hopefully the next two justices in the supreme court won't be liberal idiots. I'll still say it whenever I say it.

Geez....

Default the judge

The judge in question, Lawrence Karlton was appointed a Federal Judge by Jimmy Carter in 1979. He is referred to as an ?activist judge? by those who come in contact with him. For example: a damn was built in California in 1940, in part, to irrigate farmland and send water to several nearby cities. The Sierra Club and it?s friends won the case which caused the opening of the dam. Or as some California legislators have said, ?The fish won, the people lost?.

Apparently, the judge enjoys making rulings that get his name in the newspaper.

Stay healthy,
Andy

Yep! maybe this time the Supreme Court will take on this case instead of sending it back to the 9th Ckt Court like last time. The Court used a technicality to dismiss it so as not have to make a stand ! BTW what ever happened to the right to face ones accusers in Court?? The Case in California was brought to the 9th Ckt Court by the Atheist Dad on behalf of 3 Anonymous kids and their parents seems they are afraid to openly complain about the Pledge of Allegiance against their peers and neighbors......

This judge should be recalled and the pledge should be a mandatory requirement of schoolchildren. This is and will always remain one nation under GOD as long as we keep fighting. If we could all put aside our differences, we could blow the atheist MINORITY out of the water.

Well I guess it's time to remove In God We Turst from our paper money, and coins. While we are at it. Lets have Thanksgiving Decalred unconstitutional since we give thanks to God for the blessings we have. And lets not forget Christmas since there is no God, Jesus couldn't have been born since he was he son God. And you mustn't forget, do not Merry Christmas to anyone since the Christmas Police will nab you for celebrating a day liberals, and athesist don't beleive in. Are you getting tired of this policticlly correct Bull Shi$ yet.

Here's a website about the history of the Pledge of Allegiance. It's been edited several times over the years with the "under God" part added in 1954 by Eisenhower. Sorry guys, but in this homogenous country of ours, stating that we are and should be dominated by a theocracy of Judeo/Christianity is wrong. This country was not founded on religious motives but on political and economic ideals. Personally, I don't need or want anyone telling me which God, or any God for that matter, to worship, or not. I believe Ike added that now debated phrase in an effort to combat the allegedly rampant Communisn that, according to "Tailgunner Joe McCarthy", was running amok in America; which proved to be false.

You may be right about that particular judge's personal need for recognition, but I agree with George Carlin when he said that the 11th Commandment should be, "Keep thy religion to thyself!"

Default RJ...

BELIEVE IT!!!,...re. "Can't believe some federal judge...".

Hell, currently you can believe such nonsense being perpetrated by Judges EVEN on The Highest Court of The Land and/or The Supreme Court.

Wasn't that long ago that 5 out of The Supremes voted to permit an "Emminant Domain" or greedy collusion between The State and Private Developers,...against a Private Citizen's Private Property.

The 4 REAL Judges (apparently not paid-off either) dissenting, just had to accept such a lordly nonsense (actually a dictate),...just like the rest of: "We The (Schnooks)" most always or normally do. Sorry. But, believe The American People more so need lobbyists INSTEAD of phoney representatives and whacked-out judges (the norm),

Neil

"The gospel is foolishness to those who are perishing"

Frankly, I am amused by the amount of bile, newsprint, bandwidth taken up with this issue.
1) God is..period. You can't make Him not exist by taking His name off buildings, out of pledges, etc. He still is!
2) If Christians stop babbling about 'their faith' and started living it as God intended & for which Christ died, this issue would be meaningless.
3) American Christians need to stop whining about 'persecution'. The post in the Vietnam Forum regarding Vietnamese Christians puts this the lie to our petty little snit.

Frankly I don't care what a judge (a mere man) says..I'm more interested in that THE JUDGE has to say.
