U.S. Worker ID Card - Yea or Nay?

I can't see where this is all that great an idea.

If illegals can get a SS card or a driver's license, why can't they get one of these cards?

What kind of verification for this card will WORK?

I still think we need to seal the borders.

If done correctly - and that IFis the laargest word in the King's English - a national ID card can do wonders to help solve some problems.

1. Replaces multiple forms of ID
2. Issued only to US citizens
3. Can be used for voter identifying
4. Can store various datum, including organ donor, next of kin etc.

Caveats:
1. Any database of info on card needs to be monitored by civilain review board
2. Technology-enhanced to prevent counterfeiting
3. Severe penalites for any one or government who abuses card or info
4. Legal visitors get a different card which has a self-destruct mechanism

When I look at my Retired Military ID card, I notice a barcode on the back and have no idea what info is stored on me, who can ead it, or who can do what with it.

This Worker ID deal is an eagle on one end and a dragon on the other end.

The card can be mis-used by whatever government is in power, just like gun registration.

In addition to information, the card can store fingerprints and DNA.

Reconeil, I guess they are waiting on Mexico to empty out first. Now if there was a way to send them back to Mexico as Salvadorans, Nicaraguans, etc. That would really piss off the Mexicans. Lord knows they have enough illegal aliens.
