Lord's Walk open house

Members of RAFs Lakenheath and Mildenhall had the opportunity to walk through two homes in the Lord’s Walk military housing area on January 19th. Members were able to explore an example of the 200 currently unoccupied homes available for move in. The homes are outfitted with American appliances and both American and British plugs. The homes are regularly receiving upgrades to windows, carpeting and appliances as families move out and new families move in.
The open house also introduced leaders from both bases to the homes that their incoming team members will be moving into. A new policy is now in effect that requires all airmen with dependents receive mandatory assignment to military housing. Ranks E-1 through E-6 will receive homes in the Lord’s Walk area.
According to Ian Lancaster, 48th Civil Engineer Squadron chief of facilities, the response to the open house was “fairly positive.”
