I shall not presume to say what his dismal reflections have been since his imprisonment in the cells of Fortress Monroe; I should at least think his nightly dreams have been greatly disturbed by visitations of ghastly ghosts of his deluded followers, to whom he cannot justly say,
"Shake not your gory locks at me,
Thou canst not say I did it"

We have SCV plates, Sons of Confederate Veterans for you Yankees out there, in South Carolina. I am a member so I can get one, but have free DV tags and before that Purple Heart tags, so I never got them. If I wasn't for the veteran tags....I'd have them and would drive anywhere. Now...Revdoc, who the hell would want to drive through Roxbury???? They still burning white women up there?

A book written about all the Black owners of slaves in SC. The state with the most black slave owners was Louisianna. There were many more than you could imagine. In the back of the book it lists the names of the black slave owners of SC....most lived right here in Beaufort and Charleston. The book is written by a Graduate Student from Howard University, who, when wanting to research slavery, found out that his family were not slaves but slave owners. Interesting book. We also had Black members of my SCV Camp in Greensboro. They were very proud of their Confederate Heritage. They were free blacks not slaves forced to fight.
