Flag that once flew aboard the USS WISCONSIN in the Persian Gulf now in Illinois
Rick Gray, formerly of Tonica, Illinois, was senior enlisted man on the USS WISCONSIN in the Persian Gulf when the first Tomahawk land attack missile was fired from the ship that engaged Desert Storm. On Saturday, May 11, 2002, a dedication ceremony took place honoring the deceased Rick Gray, EMC, and honoring those who served their country in time of need. The flag that once flew aboard the USS WISCONSIN will be proudly displayed about 5 times a year on this large flagpole and monument donated by family and friends of Rick Gray EMC USS WISCONSIN, Persian Gulf War.
