Flashback!!
This is not My first encounter. Let Me set the stage: As I've dealt with so much lately concerning PTSD, and claims My mind tend to wonder back. I work at a private scool in the rural area of town, in the very back where Our maintenance shop is located there is this
huge grove of bamboo that is probably 50-100 yards deep. It has been raining most of the day, and around about night fall I opened the back door looking directly at this over growth of bamboo, and I guess for that split second the flashback happened. It was just as I had just walked out of a "hooch" during the monsoons. I actually visioned the movement of black pajamas just inching Their way closer to Our position, and then it was over. I'm not "crazy" I found some things seem so real. This is the absolute truth. To top this off I went back inside, and Lester(co-worker) asked Scott, are You okay I said yeah (still a little shook up) Why? He said Damn! You look like You just saw a ghost.Mortardude(Larry) I need to show You this Bamboo jungle one day. I do get the "creeps" at night when I Am locking up in that area. I'm sure some of You have had similiar "flashbacks" Pray for Me fellows! Yours truly Topp

Diabetes is dangerous. If you are not under treatment for it, please see a doctor about it.

I sometimes hallucinate while suffering from low blood suger. The last time, I used all of the pillows on the bed as sand bags and set up a barrier between me and the door and waited for the MoFos to get into the wire.
Now here's one which wasn't a flashback. We were in our night time RON and in the middle of the night we were over run by the NVA, They were going through our position shooting and bayonetting. I grabbed one by the throat and started to break his freaking neck. Suddenly a couple of yards grabbed me and woke me up. I was having the most realistic nightmare of my life. I felt sheepish and sorry for the poor guy I attacked. I was the team leader. They used to issue dextrose amphetamine compound capsules called green hornets. One was supposed to be good for twelve hours. I never took another. A year ago the flashback came. Same fight but I smashed the MoFo with a back fist to the face. I had a sore hand for some time since I had smashed the headboard. In case you ask I have no PTSD - I am "well adjusted."

Sticker Shock Feelings out of nowhere, A tightness in my gut, Feelings that I'm worthless, I'm not what I'd have thought. A heightened sense of danger, Real, but undefined, Sensing eyes upon me, Or is it just my mind? What brought this on, This mental state? Is it something I saw? Was it something I ate? I search my mind, For recent events, That triggered this, That made me tense. Now I remember, While driving through town, I saw a truck, I think it was brown. What caught my eye, As it went past, Was a simple sticker On the window glass. It was black and white, And said "POW/MIA, You are not forgotten." Then it drove away. It left me in tears, My eyes started to burn, Like a mindless robot, I took the next turn. I evaded it this time, But when would I see, The next reminder, Of what troubles me?
