Default OT but true

Okay, gang, let's face reality.

It's NOT the fault of the fan who grabbed at the ball in the right field
stands.

It's NOT the fault of the Cubs' pitching staff or of anyone else in the
Cubs' organization.

IT REALLY IS THAT GODDAM GOAT.

I've never seen any indication that curses have any influence. I
can recall instances where games have been thrown. There's a better
chance that gambling would play a roll than some imaginary curse.

Consider the final games of both playoffs. In the case of both
Chicago's and Boston's losses, well payed players didn't need to be
bought -- only their managers who left two fine pitchers in long after
they should have been relieved. What possible reason did the managers
have for not relieving them when they should have? It wasn't like
they were saving their pitching staff for tomorrow's game.

I'm too cynical to be a fan

Well, if it's all bought and paid for, why don't you avoid the ugly scene
and shut the fuck up?
