They were the helicopter unit that we and the 173rd used around Dak To, He was there during the fight for 875.
I haven't asked him to come hear yet. sounds like a pretty nice guy. (Still flys Hueys)

Hope he comes to this site. Dak To indeed was not a good place. By the time I got to the 4th ID in Mar 69, most of the fighting for the hills was over. But we still did our month in Dak To operating out of Dog Bone. Then it was off to Mary Lou in Konthum.

Did the Dak To thing in JUL66 right when I got to the 101st. Saw my first American KIA there; PFC William Leon, KIA 12JUL66. Dak To was a bad-assed place the whole war. Same-same Kontum right down the road.

Like I said in the first post I (HAVEN'T) asked him yet to come hear.
You know, people are known to other people buy the places they recommend.
If I was to tell you that Barrnies was the place to eat BBQ and you went there and didn't like the BBQ , what do you thing you would feel about me and my advise?
Although I believe he is a real nice guy , I have question about the other half of that meeting.
I posted the web site to his organization, anyone is welcome to go there and invite whom every they wish, or to any other web site for that matter.

Sorry, Bud. Just re-read your post. You DIDN'T invite him yet. Since you're the only one that knows who he is, I guess it's up to you to invite him or not.

If you gave me a bum steer on somewhere to eat I wouldn't hold it against ya,..........unless I got food poisoning or something. I'd just figure all you firemen got cast iron stomachs .

Ron, if you have the Military Channel I suggest watching for it. Very toucing show.

They stopped by here just for the Bell plant here. I wish I could or rode on it for a few minutes. KNowing my uncle was on those Hueys has just put them in a special place for me.
