No one can dispute the fact that certain law enforcement agencies are in a battle as to whose authority ends where? No two people nor even governmental agencies or even career politicians are ever going to agree on where the other’s authority and jurisdiction begins or ends?) However, it must be duly noted that not since the year ‘1865’ (to my knowledge) have two government agencies ever disputed so vehemently as to where their sovereign authority ends? And even a ‘Civil War’ was once begun over just such a dispute that pitted “Brother against Brother” in times past, ‘over’ a century and a half ago to be exact!

“So could this also end-up being a rehashing of some old hostilities of eons past – only time and cooler heads (hopefully) will ever be able to tell for sure?” But we are still “The United States of America” however, and with world hostilities being what they are, “Our United Nation” has no need for yet another internal conflict! For when the rancor finally does clear, we will once again discover that the enemies to “Our Republic” reside, not within our own geographical borders, but rather, the threats to our freedoms exist amidst those fools who still wish to resume those hostilities that ended - far back in times past!

But we are still the ‘UNITED’ States of America, and our people have lived together, fought together, bled together, and even died together, in defense of those truths that we still continue to view as being self-evident – and so it is and so it must forever remain!! For we are the citizens of the greatest, the most progressive, and the mightiest nation ever to exist upon the face of this entire planet – “And So It Is And - So It Must Forever Remain Or Else Something Wicked This Way Comes!!”

that would come to be known as the "House Divided" speech.

Divide the house is a parliamentary procedure that orders the counting
of votes. Such as - In a meeting. It is also known as divide the assembly -
or challenge the vote. This procedure is used when there is doubt about
the outcome of a voice vote.
