Roger,
I lived in Sierra Vista, AZ once. Near Ft. Huachuca, Tombstone, Bisbee, the Mex. border. We had heat like that. You'd get reports on the radio about how long you could be outside before you actually did start cooking. There were dashboard cookbooks out too. Never tried dashboard cooking, but I heard it works!!
(Yeah, but it's a DRY heat!!)
