US Jets Fly Into Iran -
Test Iran's Radar Defenses?
8-26-4

( IRNA) -- Five US warplanes entered Iran's air space last Thursday night from the southwestern Shalamcheh border and flew over the city of Khorramshahr for a while, press reports said Tuesday.

According the Persian daily Seday-e Edalat, 'the jet fighters which flew at high speed and altitude, then headed to the Arvand River'.

"They flew at a height of 10 kilometers and maneuvered over Khorramshahr for a while," the paper said.

"While the objective behind the fighters' violation of the Iranian air space is not known yet, some military specialists believe such moves are aimed at assessing the sensitivity of the Islamic Republic's anti-aircraft defense system," it added.

It said military and air force officials had refrained from commenting on the incident when contacted.

Iran has been wary of the occupation forces' presence on its doorsteps in Iraq and carefully watched their movements.

Tehran, while opposing Iraq's invasion, took a position of `active neutrality' at the time of the attack.

In June, Iranian naval guards seized three British boats with eight crew in the country's territorial waters in Arvand river, which borders Iraq.

The servicemen, two Royal Navy sailors and six Royal Marine commandos, were later released.

Their equipment reportedly consisted of personal weapons, radios and navigation equipment, including echo sounders to measure the depth of the water, global positioning systems to identify the exact position and up-to-date maritime charts.

Sounds like a training mission to me. Maybe Iran is next on the agenda.

Probably not.

North Korea has nuclear warheads and 3 stage rockets that will reach the US.

My bet is North Korea is next.

Iran did a bit of saber rattling a week or so ago. I guess that was the reply.

Default And in Iranian sports news...

Iranian paid $125,000 for Olympic no show

TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran have given judo world champion Arash Miresmaeili a $125,000 reward, saying he sacrificed a gold medal at the Athens Olympics by refusing to fight an Israeli, a sports official says.

State television showed Miresmaeili at an award ceremony receiving the same sum as Iranian Hossein Rezazadeh, who took the super-heavyweight weightlifting gold at the second Olympics in succession.

"He would definitely have won a gold medal if he had taken part," the sports official, who declined to be named, said on Tuesday. "By refusing to fight, Miresmaeili followed the policies of the country," the official added. Iran has refused to recognise the Jewish state's right to exist since its 1979 Islamic revolution.

The International Judo Federation had considered a sanction against Miresmaeili during the Games but concluded that he had been overweight for the fight and could not have taken part.

The International Olympic Committee also did not take any action. Miresmaeili was drawn against Israel's Ehud Vaks in the first round of the men's under 66 kg category in Athens. After officials said initially he would not fight against an Israeli, Miresmaeili was eventually scratched because he was overweight.

I heard last week that they are producing weapons grade ordance and should have enough now to produce 40 nukes. I think there is something brewing and it ain't beer.

Default Boats.....

It?s my understanding that Iran has enough uranium ?yellow cake? stocks on hand to centrifuge out enough plutonium to make the 40 odd warheads. The rub right now is the centrifuge facility that is currently under construction. A facility like that can produce the plutonium to make either a nuke war head or reactor fuel rods. The Iranians claim the facility is only for peaceful reactor fuel rods. My guess is that that?s an Iranian rubbish cover story and they are looking at making weapons grade plutonium, sure as heck.
I?m also guessing that some Med boomer boats are or will be re targeting and I'd bet on that as well.

So how long ya think before we start bombing Iran. Why not. If they are making nukes, they sure don't intend on shooting them at anyone else, except Israle, and the US. Lets get them before they get us.

My bet has money on Isreal to take out Iranian reactors..again.
US warplanes were more than likely photographing Usama bin Laden and his crew, perhaps for a similtaneous attack.
