Vanishing Threads?

A couple of threads, one dealing with the ongoing VA dysfunction, in the General Posts area, and another over in the political side, have disappeared. Wha happen, mon?

well, database problems.
Sometimes database gets corrupted (or hacked) and u need to restore from backup, so all new posts & users will be lost.

And just how do I restore from backup? It would seem that the host needs to restore from backup, not us sideline users.

Do no, maybe i expressed my self wrong (i did really not mean you wen i sayd "U" - i know, its sounds like it) - board administrators can restore from most resent backup if they have access to database (or host if they keep track of backups) & that’s what they did. All posts what are gone are gone for good. They cant enter them back so easily because right now it would mess up things more in database structure because new users have re-registered etc.

But we are still lucky that to much is not gone!
