Keith,
Are you sure you're a minister, 'cause it sounds like you got a bit of the devil in you!

Talking It was the two years in Massachusetts

After living two years among the Pilgrims in Massachusetts. My mind was forever warped.

I really don't go around playing practical jokes. I get as many played on me.

The one with the firewood was totally spontaneous. A flipped remark by me taken serious by a city slicker.
"My firewood burns too fast." "Well, why don't you water it down."
Nothing planned just a flipped remark taken serious.

My wife, who rarely raises her voice; Lecture me and lectured me on that one. "Those people could have froze to death, that poor little baby, etc." I felt bad.

I know of more than a few houses that Santa is still considering Coal and Switches for!

Okay, here is a cross-over story...My brother-in-law is a real jokester! Born and bred on a Minnesota pig farm, Viet Nam Vet, the whole shabbang. When my niece was about 4 or 5 years old he decided that the only way he was going to get Tina to bed was to pretend that Santa arrived. He goes out back and climbs up the ladder to the roof and start stomping around and BELLOWS down the chimney, "HO HO HO". Tina screamed this blood curdling scream and my dad grabs the old shotgun out of the rack and runs through the house yelling, "That old Santa ain't a comin in THIS house." Poor Tina, she was so upset she broke out in hives!

Ahh the memories. I remember being sent for a sky-hook once and only once. I disappeared until lunch. I showed up with a concerned look on my face and told them that I hadn't found one yet, but I would get back on it right after lunch.

Default Chili...

...dunno why you had a problem finding the sky hook.

They keep right next to the 5 gallon cans of prop wash and the 100 yard spools of flight line.

82 Rigger,
It wasn't a problem for me. The only reason I showed back up at lunch is because I wanted to eat. Otherwise, they wouldn't have seen me until quitting time. They didn't fall for my concerned look and they wouldn't let me go look anymore after lunch. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
