Just finished reading

DESCENT INTO DARKNESS by Commander Edward C. Raymer (USN Ret.)

Raymer was a U.S. Navy diver who was involved in the initial recovery/salvage effort at Pearl Harbor in the days and weeks after December 7, 1941.

He and his crew dove on (and into) the USS Arizona, USS California, USS Utah, and a number of the other ships sunk or damaged at Pearl.

Hair-raising (and heart-breaking) experiences and fascinating reading.

Steve
