Mildenhall Exchange shoppers invited to ‘Sound Off’ through Oct. 30

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is constantly seeking opportunities to improve on the exchange benefit. As part of this effort, the Department of Defense's oldest and largest exchange service relies on an ongoing Customer Service Index to provide localized, real time snapshots of the job Exchange facilities are doing to improve the value of the support provided to Airmen and their families.
The survey, which addresses customer service, pricing, sales associate availability, merchandise assortment and many more key issues, is administered at one-fourth of Exchange main stores every quarter.
RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath shoppers' opportunity to participate in the 2010 Customer Service Index is available at the Exchange now through Oct. 30.
During this time, troops and their families are encouraged to visit the exchange to provide feedback on locally available services. Beyond improving the exchange benefit, shoppers who participate will also receive a coupon worth $5 off their next purchase at the Exchange.
"We want to hear from as many Lakenheath, Mildenhall and Feltwell shoppers as possible," said the UK Exchange's General Manager Lorenzo Salgado. "Efforts like the CSI are critical to not only improving the shopping experience, but also bolstering the Services dividend the Exchange annually delivers to the community as healthy exchange operations produce greater returns for Air Force quality of life programs."

Veteran's Day Ceremony

A Veteran's Day Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m., Nov. 11, at the Cambridge American Cemetery at Madingley.
The ceremony will be held in commemoration of Veteran's Day and to honor Americans buried there who died in World War II.
The World War II Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial is located three miles west of Cambridge on the A1303. The site, 30.5 acres in extent, was donated by the University of Cambridge. Established on Dec. 7, 1943, the American Cemetery at Madingley is the only American World War II burial ground in England. The 3,800 white crosses and the Portland stone wall inscribed with 5,000 names, pay tribute to American servicemen and women who died in the war. There are 3,812 American military dead buried there. On the wall running from the entrance to the chapel has 5,126 names of Americans inscribed who gave their lives in the service of their country, but whose remains were never recovered or identified. Most of these died in the Battle of the Atlantic or in the strategic air bombardment of Northwest Europe during World War II.
The ceremony will feature members of the U.S. Military and the Royal Air Force. Guest speakers will be Commissioner Darrell L. Dorgan, American Battle Monuments Commission, and Royal Air Force Air Commodore Elaine West, Air Officer Commanding Directly Administered Units and Assistant Chief of Staff Support.

100th CS warns of e-mail hoax

A recent e-mail hoax and virus was discovered to be ongoing in USAFE. HQ USAFE Cyber Surety and Postal communication is informing everyone of customers receiving hoax e-mails from the United States Postal Service, United Parcel Service and Federal Express that include a damaging Trojan virus embedded in an attachment.

The e-mails advise customers to open an embedded document to print a delivery notice required to pick the parcel up at the post office or to inform the company to deliver to their house in three business days. The attachment is an .exe with a Trojan virus. Information regarding the virus is available on the web. Since this month marks the seventh annual National Cybersecurity Month, we are strongly urging everyone to exercise sound cyber awareness.
