173rd
Watched all the coverage on the jump and got more than a little excited. What I enjoyed most was an interview with a SFC about an hour after the jump. The good sergeant was talking as if it was just another day at the office, very smooth, a real pro. Feel so sad for the few guys who got tangled up and didn't make it out of the planes. They'll but bummed out about that the rest of their lives.
The Herd jumping in RVN has been mention a couple of times, so I do feel an obligation to make a comment. The DZ for the 173rd was in III Corps and was guarded by the 25th Division. Not taking anything away from the Third Herd but history is history. Stay healthy, Andy |
