No big deal. I recently had some Fruit Cake from a C-Ration that was packed in 1957 which would make it about 52 years old. It was delicious especially since I let a shot of brandy soak into it for about a half hour vefore I devoured it. Never could figure out why most of the guys in my company in Vietnam threw the fruit cake away. I just about lived on that stuff, along with the ham and eggs (which were number 1 if you added some VN peppers).
