Chris, you are right, going to yours definitely motivated me to go to mine. I couldn't figure out a way to take my hat without getting it crushed. I have since fixed that problem by getting a big ass suitcase. Next year. Travis, he is very interesting to talk to. He is very modest and unassuming like all these guys were. Unfortunately I picked up on his memory problems since I have them too. It is my opinion he has PTSD pretty bad.

Thanks to Tom's advice and quite a few sessions at the Vet Center and three months at Salem PTSD I was more or less ready to go. It was still very worrisome at first. What made it work was all those guys were just like me. They just wanted to be together and enjoy each others company. Tom, I wish I could give you and Ron that. I got peace and comfort.

Thumbs up Doc.

I'm glad that you had such a positive experience with this. A place full of medics! That's a huge collection of Caring, Love, Humanity, and GUTS, in one place. I hope it speeds up your journey through Life towards the Peace you've earned and deserve, Fred.

I wish I had known that you were so close [4hrs. or less], Doc. I would have figured out a way to see you for a bit.

Good for you Doc ...

One of the best things I have ever done is go to my regiments reunion and met, after over 30 years eight men I served with.

Lots of good stories! I met the guys in the first contingent to come over on the boats and the last to fly out of Quon Loi. Sid, you will love this. The last chopper out of Quon Loi was a Medevac. As they flew over the PX they saw all these locals coming to loot what was left. The gunners opened up and shot up pallets and pallets of Coke and Black Label. Then they riddled the PX so there was little left for the "loyal" locals. Die, Black Label!!!!
