"Ted Morris 96 months ago today the first bombers launched against al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan. Here's a picture of the very first one (taxing out on Diego Garcia). The U.S. was in WWII for 44 months. Why so long in Afghanistan? Not because ...the enemy is smarter or better equipped. It's because neither Bush nor Obama had/have the cojones to do the brutal things needed to defeat a dedicated enemy, occupy their country and reorder their society by force (the way we did Germany and Japan).
