Default Concurrent Receipt

No one is eligible for concurrent receipt, as of now. Congress is in the process of trying to develop a plan to fund it, and this seems to be the hot issue, as of now.

Keep up on the latest developments here, though, because the guys and gals on this board stay on top of that. We're all behind it, 150% on this board. We're all vets and we're sticking together to advocate fair treatment for ALL veterans, non-retirees and retirees alike.

Welcome!!

theoddz is right in that there is no such animal as "concurrent receipt" at this time. However, you may qualify for Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC). This program allows you to receive special payments from DOD equalling the amount of VA compensation you receive for those "combat-related" disabilities that equal a combined 60%. CRSC includes disabilities that are incurred "in the performance of duty under conditions simulating war" and "instrumentality of war". My feeling is that if your injuries were a result of working on the flight deck, you might qualify.

If you want more info on CRSC, you can go to the DAV website and check it out.
