Talking Letter to the Editor: Orlando, FL

Dear Editor

"I live near an Alligator Crossing sign erected by the county. Since it was put up many Alligators have been killed by cars there.

I have written to the county and asked them to move it to less traveled location to avoid more Alligator deaths."

Do any of you in Florida know this person. But, I see the name was withheld to protect the . . . . . whatever.

Keith,

Yeah, I know that individual.

That's the same one that heard that alligator shoes were stylish and went out and captured 12 alligators...only to discover that alligators don't wear shoes.

Oh my, evidently some lost linkage on the loose with that one. Reminiscent of a pic I had on my home office wall. It was one I took of the Cruiser USS Oklahoma City coming into Pearl Harbor at dawn. A office guest asked about it and I simply said “It is the Oklahoma City coming into Pearl Harbor.” To which the guest replied, “Really, I didn’t know Oklahoma City was moved to Pearl Harbor.”
Nothing to say about that, except, lets go to lunch”. A client go-for, so saying nothing is best. Poor Gal, fresh out of University and more or less 'dumb struck'.

Default Scamp,...

Your little story reminded me of an episode way-back-when The Boys were sittin around
BS'n and pretty-much clowningly destroying words after lunch, like saying: "Goshay" instead
of just gosh or; "Swayvay" instead suave.

Well, along comes a young Miss Know-it-all (no doubt similar as one you described) hearing
my buddy referring to something or other as being: "Truly Swayvay",...and instantly
correcting him by saying: "No, no, no, Rocky, you never say; 'Swayvay'". "You should just
say: 'Swayv'".

Such didn't just: "Make my day". It Made The Day for all at our table and also quite a few
other tables within ear-shot, to-boot. Wonder if same girl still says: "Swayv" today?
