Terrorists to be tried at former NATO headquarters

The investigation into the attacks, which lasted three years and three months, was completed in June 2019. The investigating judges submitted their files to the Office of the Federal Prosecutor and preparations for the trial are under way. The trial could not be held in the Brussels Law Courts for practical and operational reasons Many alternative venues were studied, taking into account availability, the flexibility of the rooms to be made ready, the prospects for rendering the site safe, accessibility etc. The trial is scheduled to start in the year 2020.
