Don't remember who The Secretary of Defense or: "War Czar" as many of America's under-miners call such was, when I volunteered Serving for 3 years. Nor, do I remember him giving a guarantee of any length Tour of Duty in fighting or defending against America's common enemies.

In fact, many of my LUCKY predecessors of WWII had to ONLY Serve about 4 year Tours of Duty or for: "The Duration" of hostilities, whether were 2 year Draftees or 3 year Volunteers. Only The UNLUCKY Ones and/or Casualties got to Serve short 2 month to 15 month Tours of Duty.

Many (myself inclusive) believe that besides all the enemy helpfulness by War Protesters & American Press/Media abounding,...the guaranteed 1 year Tour of Duty in Vietnam was what ALSO dragged The War out so long,...and made same POLITICALLY infeasible winning. Everything seems quite similar TODAY with War on Terrorism, whether here in America or in Afghanistan & Iraq.

Kick that around for awhile, and give Secretary of Defense a breather (USA also),...for-a-change. Besides, what point is there for Dems & Press further encouraging Fanatical Islam to stay-the-course, while further under-mining for-the-hell-of-it and demoralizing both America's Troops & The American Citizenry?

Are Dems & Many of Press/Media all planning Converting to Islam?

Creation of The War Czar is Bush's abdication of his duty as commander in chief. He can't finish a war he started and wants to shift blame onto someone else, ala republican SOP.

His plan to win the war is to stretch it out untill Jan 2009 and then blame a Democrat for losing it.
