A Dangerous & Faulty Image
Personal image seems to be of far more concern to today?s politician than does the genuine welfare of our nation and it?s people! And as hard as they try to convince you otherwise, it?s all ego, vanity, power and control, as far too may (but not all) of these people are but arrogant gas bags and highly paid welfare cases!
What were the first words out of the mouth of a prominent politico directly after 9/11/01: ?How does this effect my personal image abroad?? Come on you people, nearly 3000 humans died in that terrorist attack, and the facade of any (one) individual, regardless of party affiliation, should not have even entered the picture, even with ego-spin applied!! I don?t give a tinker?s damn what takes place these days, the first reports out of the political media are "Image, Stock Market Impact, Political Poles and Potential Damage (or Benefits)" in any given future election, and ?That Is Pure Bull Shit!!? We The People" are often downgraded to but a passing afterthought! (opinion) Are politicians elected to represent and serve a nation and its people, or is it the other way around (need I Ask)? Do the lives of Americans, including those in the service, correlate to nothing more than potential votes toward a future re-election? Is power and control of more importance than even a single American life, or the grief of one's family over the loss of part of their being!? Granted, every time that I hear a politician talking about American casualties, either in combat, natural disaster, or through terrorism, they darn their "Face Of Transient Sadness", and claim it as a a personal loss!? In a word, a few of these people are ?As Phony As the Trojan Pony" [opinion]! And down deep, many [if not most] of us know it!! ?At times, wars are unavoidable - it is the faulty nature of mankind!? And there will always be those who gleefully feast upon the blood of others, be it literally, financially, or politically! But what kind of a message does this send to our own population that - ?ALL TOO MANY? politicos (federal, state and all points in between) seem far more concerned with world-whim , than the needs, wants and desires that dwell within their own back yard? ?And I shit you not, this is (unfortunately) the case, far too often!!? If you want to see the worse, the greediest, the most lustful, and the most slobbering of society, just look at a few of your friendly, neighborhood politicians! The needs and even survival of their fellow Americans genuinely take a backseat to their own little world, in far, far many cases (opinion)! Public service, the public welfare, the conscientious use of our military (as well as their quality of life after service), all finish a distant second to polishing their own poisoned political apples and their gold plated balls! ?AND MORE?S THE TRAGEDY FOR US ALL!!? The fact is that a politician is running for re-election from the very second the last vote is tallied. ?And woe be to he (or it) that stands in the way this selfish, self-deifying, agenda! ?How dare the people of the United States deem themselves of more importance than personal power and glory! ?Who, pray tell, do we think we are?? Well, not to worry, there is many a politico out there that is prepared to set us straight on this axiom of political life in short order! VERITAS
