Over the past 32 years, CSM Glen Vela has witnessed, and been part of, significant change in the Army. Upon his enlistment in January of 1985, the Army was still focused on the Cold War. Since then, the Army significantly downsized in the 1990s, began executing contingency operations in the 2000s and now is poised to prepare for multi-domain conflict. Throughout all of those changes, CSM Vela proved that he is a warrior.
