SITKA, Alaska - Coast Guard Cutter Liberty crewmen prepare to receive a trail line from a Coast Guard Air Station Sitka MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew during a hoist training evolution in Sitka Sound April 1, 2011.

The hoist training took place to keep the aircrew and cutter crew qualified on hoist capablities for emergency responses.

The hoist training involved lowering and raising the rescue swimmer to the cutter so that the Coast Guardsmen can stay proficient in hoisting evolutions for emergency responses.
