Default American Defense Mobile Museum

Been working on a historic mobile museum the past few weeks with the Assistant Pastor of the Prince of Peace Church here in Fayetteville.
Pastor Knox Herndon was a Chaplain but first enlisted in 1966, went through the enlisted ranks while continuing his education in Christian theology which he has earned a "Doctorate" in. Upon graduation the Army offered to make him a Chaplin but he would need to go through O.C.S. first. After O.C.S. Pastor Herndon continued in the Army and didn't leave it until 1991 when he was separated. He has remained involved in veteran affairs and veteran appreciation since his discharge. He has several Army vehicles including a Jeep, armed with machine-guns. All of his vehicles have been and will continue to be used in parades wherever he's invited to participate.
Pastor Herndon has a family tree that he can trace back to the American Revolutionary War and has several items in the museum from that war along with all other military involvements since and those items are on display in the Museum.
Tomorrow we should rap it up on the ready for display museum since the Air Show in Peachtree City has requested that it be there during the show starting this Friday.
DYK that during the Civil War some officers were issued muzzle loading pistols with bayonets mounted permanently on their barrels?
Did you know that Americas longest war was the Cold War with only 41 American troops officially KIA and lasted for over twenty years?
The "Museum" is really nothing but a converted trailer from a truck that's designed to be on display at Veteran Appreciation events, Schools and Churches.
It's been a real privilege working on that museum and neither Pastor nor I have had to take a loss in pay due to the budget crisis cause there ain't neither one of us getting paid nuthin anyway and the show WILL go on.

We finished the museum the day before yesterday and yesterday the press was at it. A photographer took 120 pictures both inside of the museum and outside while a woman reporter spoke with Pastor Herndon. We're ready to haul it anywhere that it's requested and show whoever what it took to make America what it is today.
There's a dust off stretcher with a soldier laying on the stretcher in one place and there's the nose of a jeep coming through one of the walls with an chaplains alter on the hood. Pastor Herndon used a Jeep nose for an alter while he was at the Berlin Wall in 1965.
The front page of the Berlin, English language newspaper is laying by a wide screen television in the front with the headline of President Kennedy telling "Mr Gorbachove, tear down this wall," as he was speaking at Checkpoint Charley at the wall.
One of the reporters said that it was by far one of the best history displays that she has ever seen and that it needs to go to every school in America.
