2008 hunting

Well my 2008 hunting season for deer in washington is OVER. My son and I drew Doe tags for muzzle loading in upper central washington Mule and whitetail country. We used our smoke poles pretty good we seen 25 deer all morning. 3 whitetails and 22 mulies. I shot my doe at 8:30 and Nick shot his at 10:00 am. both were big barren does about 150 lbs each. Next hunt Montana for Deer and Elk. late october to late November. too the rest of my vet friend who hunt good luck this year.

You oughta come visit for a week or two during hunting season some time. Whitetails everywhere and some opportunities for turkey. We're only allowed 3 bucks/year. But we can take 3 does/DAY. Every day. My health has been a bit off and so I haven't been able to put much of a dent in the 100+ deer we could take a year.

The Governor and the department of ecology are working on a gun control plan. It works this way. Find a study that says lead in game meat is hazardous for eating then eliminate lead bullets, that will eliminate most hunting and keep guns in control because you can't buy bullets for guns. Peta and the liberals want to eliminate hunting and even fishing in the State of Washington so they are trying to do it by regulation rather than by law. The Governor is extremely sympathic to liberal causes. They found a study indicating that their was lead in game meat (duh, of course there is lead in something shot with a lead bullet) and therefore it poses a hazard to those eating it, (even if you cut out the blood shot area on the game). Where the test fails is that they should have done tests on people who have eaten game meat most of their lives and see if there is any signs of lead poisoning, now that would be a valid test, but they knew that the results wouldn't produce the results they wanted.
Beware! if this is successful in Washington it will go on to other states. In certain areas of Calif. you can't hunt with lead bullets because the lead in bullets may do harm to the Condors Buzzards, there is no proof that lead in bullets has ever done any enviromental damage to Condors (unless someone shot them). Its a way of implementing gun control and eliminate hunting, not by law but by regulation.
Be careful an anti-hunting regulation will be coming your way.

Got back last night about 9:45. Nice machine. Did a little bajaing at the sellers place and got it a bit muddy. Took the windshield and top off for the trip back. 75 mph probably wouldn't do too good to it. Curtis, thanks for the coffee and the tour. Came back and missed exit B1 and ended up in Selkirk on 87. Pissed me off. Cost me $3.35 to get to exit 25A on 90.
