Pierogi's
This is for my Polock friends out their. My polock neighbors came down sunday and I tought them how to make Pierogi's. they are third generation and their mom never tought them how to make them. We spent 4 hours making them and ate the first two batchs as soon as they were made. straight from the boiling water to the frying pan. Yum Yum. My favorite filling is meat and saurkrute. whats your favorite filling?

I'm not Polish but my wife is but she doesn't do much Polish cooking. The main problem is, or was, her mother; she refused to put any spices on anything she cooked so everything came out bland as hell, though my wife does make some pretty good galumpkis.
My ethnic background is Portuguese so we always had some very spicy food; lots of pepper, garlic, onion, allspice, etc. But to answer your question: I do like pierois; cheese, potato, saurkraut, hamburger, and plenty of beer to wash it down.

Potato and onion fried in butter with onions. With thanks to Andy for introducing pierogis to the hillbillies.

Was married to a Pollock
First intro into the world of the pierogie. Like mine the same as Doc Fredski....haven't had them since the divorce, but like them just the same.
Also like "gawompki". Pardon my spelling of this one. Packwolski
