Looking at Whitley's photo I see a pretty boy draped over a MG.
"Lands End goes to Iraq". He has no idea what Murtha knows about "technology and tactics". Or, could you fill us in?

Eye sight and brain power must diminish in Beautiful Bucks Co. PA. That ain't the picture of a pretty boy draped over a MG. It's a picture of a United States soldier in Iraq carrying out the orders of his CIC , risking his life , and defending my families way of life. I'd love to fill you over

He's not defending your families way of life, he's stroking Dubyas' ego. You got any photos of yourself that resemble Whitleys'? I don't.
You can shove your personal insults.

Default I don't agree with the war

But that is no reason to diminish the soldiers fighting it. My son is over there, I would like to see you call him a pretty boy to his face or mine for that matter. And ya, LTs got a lot of time on a 60.

SFC Phillip E. Herndon the day they left Ft. Cambell for Iraq.

Whitley, by his own actions has made himself a public figure and is due all the respect and jeers that comes with being such. Your son has not. I would never belittle the service of any member of our forces.
Among the many pieces of equipment I was signed for was an M60, and as a section chief it was my responsibilty to make sure my men and myself were proficient in it's operation and maintenence.

Chas,

You're as full of it as Christmas goose.

You excuse your own behavior by blaming the person you insulted for publicly stating an opinion opposite of your own. You call him a pretty boy, act like he's on a boy scout outing "lands endgoes to Iraq", state the only reason he is in Iraq is to stroke Dubya's ego. I don't know how you boys up there in Petticoat Junction PAdeal with such talk but where I come from "them would be fightin' words" in the local VFW.

Makes me proud to be an Okie...

Default I DO agree with this war

And my two sons in the Army, both combat veterans, would not take kindly to some ungrateful windbag calling them a 'pretty boy.' They are both stunningly handsome men, and yes, they are defending our way of life, irrespective of the blindness of others to see that reality.
