Grandchild at last
He was early, but we welcome him all the same. My first grandson, Keenan, son of my daughter, Erin, was born May 12, 2006. He was four weeks premature but he's doing fine in the neo-natal unit at Missoula Community Hospital. He weighted 4 lb 15.6 oz. at birth, lost the usual amount in the next day or two but now is gaining on his mother's milk. He weighed 4 lb, 9 oz today.
He was also under lights to counteract jaundice, but they've taken him off. If his lab work is good tomorrow, they say they may spring him loose. My ex will be here tomorrow night. I'm picking her up at the airport. She intends to spend about a week fussing over the new grandson. Any way, I shared the bad news about the earlier miscarriage of my son's wife, so I thought I would share this happy news. By the way, my son's wife is due to deliver her baby boy, Jordan, on August 3. I hope he doesn't decide to come quite this early. Li'l Doc

Oh man, is your life going to change! Grandkids become an obsession. My little princess (she told me she was one) is almost 4 & she is the light of my life ('cept when she starts actin' like her daddy). Congratulations. Enjoy!!
