Looks like I'll be the first.
I'll say Bush will remain President but not necessarily because he's best qualified for our Nation. People are afraid to change Presidents during the middle of a war because a new president would walk in cold turkey and most probably cause havoc trying to stop something that is inevitable. You can't stop something that has gained this much momentum with promises made in a campaign. A new President would most likely make things a Hell of a lot worse trying to correct the mistakes he thinks President Bush has made. Regards, Travis |

As far as my choice, I'd say maybe Lincoln, the Roosevelt Boys, Kennedy or Reagan! As four of the five are departed, and one is in bad health, I guess that my choices are moot!? Still and all, I feel that any of the five listed above could still do a better job than any current contenders, regardless of political ilk! Besides, the person that I preferred, may just be an also-ran in this 2004 election!? So I guess that barring that - I will just have to vote for - :cd: VERITAS

Hardcore;
I say, as the Brits would comment, an answer a politician might use.
I asked my psyc's, if I designed a pill that would cure Cancer on the spot with no side effects no matter how bad the Cancer was. Also in the same day I could actually gain world piece forever and we could all live full happy lives but it would cost the lives of only 300,000 American Veteran's instead of almost 700,000 American's would I too be a hero? Well... you can imagine the answer I got. I wanted to know just what makes one a hero here and in Europe & The Far East makes one a mass murderer for carrying out his belief's. Regards, Travis |

Next Prez
Let me see the unemployment statistics for September and I'll tell you who will be elected in November.
Bush finds himself in an interesting little box. If he and his people do their job well, protecting us from terrorists, many people will sort of forget about 9/11 and it becomes almost a non-issue. If we have another 9/11 then the Dem's will say he's not doing his job. Plus the bleeding in Iraq will continue. Seems it will end up with many "undecides" voting on the economy. The economy (jobs) go up in the next 8 months, Bush wins. The economy flat lines or goes down, he looses. The economy goes up a little, we'll have a replay of the 2000 race. Don't think that jobs will grow a lot this year so, I'd guess the Dem, probably Kerry will be elected. Stay healthy, Andy |

Andy
What makes anyone think that no matter what happens to the economy, we will get straight answers? There is no such thing as a "TOTALLY" honest politician!!! And for the record, the White House is not the President's House. It belongs to the People of this Nation!!! We merely rent it out from time to time to people whom we believe to be acting in our own best interest!!! VERITAS

I agree with
Andy. I also think John Edwards still has an outside chance.
Either one would be OK with me.
