gotcha beat! I turned 18 in Basic. My parents had to sign for me to get me in. What a way to spend a birthday...on the obstacle course!

My parents wouldn't sign for me to go in, So I had to wait till I turned 18, OCT 1965, The Army gave me a month to report, November 1965 I was in Basic.
