All of you Floridians will be in our thoughts and prayers the next few days. Head for the high ground. I suggest Wyoming or Montana. Each time I visited WY [numerous times], or the whole time I lived in MT, I NEVER experienced one hurricane :re: .

thinking about Paco. Anybody heard from him since Gaston hit Charleston, S.C. the other day????

He's not far from there and they took a wallopin around that area. Hope he and Deb are OK.

If anybody hears' something be sure and let us know.

Time to "batten down the hatches" again!

That damn Frances is gettin bigger and bigger!

Gimpy,

Been out of town but that Frog Gaston missed us by inches. We got some rain, but that's not unusual for this summer. That sumbitch formed overnight just off our coast. That's how fast these suckers can come. It's not nice to fool mother nature. We are so saturated here that if Frances hits....we're in deep doodoo.

Now Frances! We are keeping a close eye on this one but as of 0500 they are still not sure where this thing is going. We are more worried about you guys in Fla than us at this moment. Everything has to do with that High Pressure system off the coast and who can predict that. Since getting back from my mom's I've been swamped at work and getting prepared for another hurricane.

As Sid says, and all, can travel if you guys need help....and we have room at the Inn here if you need to get out. I know this is a long way away....but the offers good.

Gimp, you've hit the nail on the head......sick of this shit.

Being coastie's we got our eyes on this one and prayers going up. The truth is, someones gonna get hurt....no doubt about it.

Let us know if help is needed, and I will do the same if this asshole comes this way.

Packo

Go to http://www.wunderground.com/tropical.../at200406.html for updates on the position of Hurricane Frances. It doesn't look good for the Sunshine State.

Mom and oldest brother lived in Homestead when it blew the town away. Tommy was in the Air Force but the base pretty much got blown away. When Andrew hit Tommy was out of town in his RV. His house was distroyed. Moms apartment building was eventually condemed but mom was in it when Andrew hit sleeping and she can't remember anything about it.
Both Tom and mom moved to Melbourne after Homestead barely existed any more. Tommy had to find a job after he had to retire from the Air Force after 28 years and no base to go to.
Tommy's off RVing again. Mom's in a Senior Center in Melbourne. Talked to her last night and she says she's going to sleep through this one to. Our prayers go with her and all that will suffer the consiquences of Frances.

ugh this is stressful. My dad said he has a cement house to stay in 20 miles inland from Sabastian. Apparently all the guys from the MC club are rolling there favorite bikes into this guys living room & there going to ride it out together. That is slightly reassuring. He has already battened down those tin shutters, and moved his other bikes inside. I wish he would just get on a plane & come to storm less San Diego. Our thoughts are with all those in the large path of this monster.

They said this morning on CNN this storm could generate power for the whole world for 5 hours. gonna be a big one.
