One Helluva Quandary
11-28-2023
(Personal Opinions) “Members of our own military are obliged to disobey any unlawful order!” But at the very same time, however, “Our Military is also required to obey all orders! And the punishment for disobeying those orders that turn out to be lawful, is that your career in the service can be finished, and you could also be going to jail for a really long time!” “So which way to turn, as many within our obedient and ever-gallant military forces are not all that versed in law, and obedience is indeed a mainstay within all of our armed-forces!” *Any (so-called) double standard is a hard-pill to digest, and the above analogy is (to say the least), more than a bit troubling, at least to me? Or could it be, that “Our Military Personnel” are now expected to decide for themselves what constitutes a lawful order, and what does not? But to my ‘Semi-Stupid’ way of thinking, most of the people that I briefly served with, may also find this mandate to be a bit confusing at best? “And as such, I am respectfully requesting clarification!!
