With Russia lurking on NATO's southern flank, Italy is working on new jets and new carriers to keep an eye on things

* Italy's military is focusing on expeditionary capabilities amid rising tension in the Mediterranean.

* The goal is a force that can deploy quickly, operate across domains, and interoperate with allies.

* As part of that effort, the military is seeking new hardware — including F-35s and amphibious ships.

Personal note: I think NATO's got the message - that this situation is going
to ramp up with Russia and Ukraine - since isn't not letting up - in fact it's
heating up - and going with heavier weapons of late.

Once the first nuke drops - all hell will break in Europe and the rest will follow
through. It won't be pretty and it won't last long - once they've emptied their
arsenal's. Contaminates will spread across Europe - Asia - The Middle East -
Russia and whomever launches one or more during the exchange. You would
think - they would want to get cease talk's going - but I doubt it. It be the
end of days for several Nation's - and the radiation will spread around the
world - killing billions. So much for Peace on Earth! Mankind is truly his own
worst enemy! So it was written - so will it be!

Note: Russia has already lost 63k soldiers in Ukraine based on their body count.
Putin is drumming up another 300k - by drafting them currently. Wait until
the nukes start fly - take that x100 or x1000 more during those exchanges.

And so it begins - now how it ends - is too horrible to even contemplate.
All war's have an ending eventually - but the cost of personal & damage
to the infrastructure is a real bank buster - to rebuild.
