...Met a vietnam Veteran at work yesterday, he was a customer who came in, and I noticed the VFW window sticker, nothing else, (actually met 3 veterans who came in as customers, A husband and his wife, who she just got out of the Army),,...

...first, The Vietnam Veteran said he was a Medic , so Doc Fred, and Hal might help me on this one,.

...He said he was with the 6th support group bat., CC med 11th light inf brig? ?,66-67"? (might have somthing ass backwards ), and he's looking for his friend "Bob Clark", (I know a commen name was his words), but had a wife "Betty", (elizabethh, liz ??),from Utica Ny...

...Our conversation quickly brought us together with my "Welcome Home" to him, (after the view of the VFW sticker) and it's all that had to be offered, he teared up real fast as he as I, and for nothing less then the reason of helping him with a hug,
He hugged me back just as tight as if he were my Brother, and it felt good, I guess I never got too many hugs from friends, and the same went for giving them then, but yea now it feels good, just being able to spread a little joy by knowing those two simple words can be such a bond between people, the guy took to me like he'd known me forever, (I wasn't his sales person, prior recent purchase before my arrival), we yaked between my coworker shuffling off running paperwork),...

...He made my day, I am at a loss for his name, I just remembered the name of his buddy he's looking for, and I do have his land line #, so anybody know a Bob Cark, with Betty for a wife(then), gave him our address here, hope he checks in on his own, gave him a "Psycovets" bumper sticker, as a gift, and will take extra special care of our brother fried through the dealership, ANDREW, ou haven't called me bacl, I'll call you in a bit,...

...2nd guy tells me he was a "LRRP" and was in "Santinista (we wern't there he said after quickly??), and his wife just got out of Ft Lenord wood, could tell by the obvous scars, and his straight forward demenur that I believed him, other stuff need not be mentioned, 3kids, and twins on the way God bless um, making new friends along the way,...

The firest question to ask someone that was in VN is, What was your address, Ya wrote it a million times on the return address of the letters you sent off. Its kinda like your sireal Number, inbeaded in your brain forever.
If you felt they were VN vets they probibly were,

Ron
