War On A Far Different Front Line

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!

The next time that you hear some bleeding heart bad-mouthing the men and women of our U.S. Border Patrol (Department of Justice), I invite you not to react before you learn the whole story!!

Just a few days ago, our lightly armed Border Patrol had a potentially deadly run-in, not with any obviously illegal endeavor, but rather with elements of the Mexican Army (AGAIN)!! Two Border Patrol Agents, armed I believe with naught but flashlights, 40 caliber handguns, and operating in the dark, desolate and dangerous (high) backcountry to the east of San Diego, ran into numerous boot prints. These tracks led northward, away from the Mexican Border and into California, near Tecate, Mexico.

Apparently, some 10 Mexican Army Soldiers, dressed in camouflage, had illegally crossed into the United States, hopping over a chain-link fence that marked the International Border, before retreating back to their side of the line!! It is also my understanding that Mexican Soldiers know full well where the U.S. begins and Mexico ends!

One Border Patrol agent tracking the interlopers, then espied a group of men, dressed in tan camouflage, crouching in the shrubbery, some 15 feet south of the border. These shaddowy figures turned out to be Mexican Army soldiers, and all were carring loaded and deadly automatic weapons!!

Well, it turned out that these 10 foreign soldiers were attached to a Mexican Army Interdiction Unit, but this still does not explain, nor does it excuse this obvious violation of our borders by an armed alien force! And this was far from the first time that Mexican Army Troops have illegally traversed the international line, crossing a barrier in the process!! As a matter of fact, back, less than a year ago, a heavily armed group of Mexican Soldiers, who along with their handguns, were armed with submachine guns (one even had a Colt-Armorlite M-16), crossed the border, almost causing a fire-fight to erupt. ?Thank God for cool heads and steel nerves on both sides!?

This sort of thing has and will happen again! And whether by accident, or the actions of someone?s ?Buckaroo (cowboy) Mentality?, this kind of armed incursion is inherently dangerous and potentially deadly! Armed with but a 40 caliber handgun, and up against an arsenal of war (automatic rifles), our brave Border Patrol Agents are staring right into the fangs of an accident waiting to happen on a regular basis!

I once did a night-time ride-around with a Border Patrol Agent close to this very same area. Mountainous, unforgiving, and crawling with creatures that are not friendly to mankind as a whole, many can not possibly imagine the peril that these agents face on a daily basis! As a matter of fact, I don?t think that even a well armed group of Army Rangers or Navy Seals, would feel totally secure in areas that but a single Border Patrol Agent (or two) have to work in nightly!?

So the next time that you hear of some Border Patrol Agent taking heat from people far removed from the scene of action, and you chose to chastise rather than understand, I invite you to try their jobs on for size. Only then will you fully realize what these Agents (many of them mere kids) are putting on the line for you and yours!!
