Some local PNP sergeants; Philippine National Police, wanted a pistol competition so to the range we went. Got my butt kicked on the rapid fire range but it was my turn to show off on the 25 meter slow fire range. He he, won the hat and the front depicts the Philippine flag crest. I used the new Colt 1911 45 cal and that is a fine, fine, piece, a don’t leave home without it item. I hadn’t fired the 1911 45 since 1968, but like riding a bicycle, it all comes rushing back.

Sure Sis, the 400 plus pair of shoes were on display for quite a while, but public interest in the Marcos excesses has waned and there is a new crop of crackpots and despots to fuss about. Just like the US, one wrong move and the media is all over it and juicy real-time stuff is far more popular than long ago stuff.

In the next election cycle, it appears that the Aquino family will go up against the Marcos family and already, the who is doing whom and in what order kind of stuff is bubbling. However, there is a different threshold of ‘gasp’ and one past Senator is known for fathering 88 children with women that are not his wife. I’d call that building a constituency the old fashion way and it certainly got the ‘guy vote‘.

I mean that Senator was some kind of machine, sure enough.
