SEOUL, (BM) – The Ministry of Association of the Republic of Korea confirmed today, June 16, earlier information that an inter-Korean communications office was blown up in the North Korean city of Kaesong, Yonhap reports, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.

“The DPRK at 14.49 local time carried out the demolition of the building of the inter-Korean communications office in Queson,” the ministry said in a statement.

It is noted that the Armed Forces of South Korea have intensified monitoring of the DPRK, the troops are on high alert. Front-line commanders have been ordered to remain at their locations.

According to the agency, an explosion was heard in the border town of Qason in the DPRK, and then a column of smoke appeared.

The incident occurred amid a statement by the DPRK about plans to return its military units to areas from which troops were withdrawn in accordance with inter-Korean agreements.

BulgarianMilitary.com recalls: on the eve of June 15, Pyongyang warned Seoul about the preparation by the armed forces of an “act of retaliation” for distributing campaign leaflets that offended the DPRK top leadership. This was preceded by a statement published earlier by the first deputy head of the Central Committee of the Labor Party of Korea (TPK) Kim Yong-jeong [the younger sister of the DPRK leader Kim Jong-un] that Pyongyang intends to take the “next step” in the near future. In particular, she emphasized that decision-making regarding follow-up “would be entrusted to the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army”.

Since June 9, the DPRK has blocked all communication lines with South Korea in response to sending campaign leaflets, regarding these actions as a hostile act violating inter-Korean peace agreements. In particular, all telephones in the permanent inter-Korean communications office were disconnected, including the communication channel between the military of the North and South, as well as the hot line of the leadership of the two countries, connecting the building of the Central Committee of the TPK and the residence of the President of the Republic of Korea.

Note: This chest pounding by Kim and his counterpart are going to one day make a fatal mistake and nuke each other causing undo damage to both sides. Ideologies are so different between the two - they just can work things out. Its a power play by Kim just itching to use his nukes and the South will have to offer a payback if this is done. So much the innocent people on both sides of this exchange.
