Tonight on the TV Land Awards show John Ratzenberger that played Cliff Clavin was honored along with the other actors and writers for "Cheers" and in his acceptance remark he Thanked the Troops and asked for folks to remember our Troops over in Iraq and Afghanistan and got applauded. TV Land must get a better selection of Actors attending their awards show unlike the Oscars.....

Ben Stein is a known conservative, and this has a lot more to do with his support for GW Bush than any sudden revelation about the value of the average soldier, sailor marine airman doing his or her duty.
If a Democrat was in the White House and all else was the same, he would probably b e bemoaning all the innocent Iraqi's killed in "Clinton's" war or whoever. So forgive me my cynicism, but I'm not sure I hear sincerity in Ben Stein's voice.
