O Almighty Lord God, who neither slumberest nor sleepest; Protect and assist, we beseech thee, all those who at home or abroad, by land, by sea, or in the air, are serving this country, that they, being armed with thy defence, may be preserved evermore in all perils; and being filled with wisdom and girded with strength, may do their duty to thy honour and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Hard to believe that 16 years has already past since the Gulf War ended.

Default Damn!

I guess it has been that long! I always do a lot of dreaming this time of year and I guess the dates never leave me, but how the hell did all those years pass without me noticing?

Hope you are well txhis! Thanks for your service!

Default Time

It has been like all wars, time has passed, WWI 92 years have passed, WWII almost 62 years have passed, Korean War 57 years have passed, Since Frist Advisors had been sent to Vietnam, and the War ending, 48 years, have passed, Desert Storm 18 years have passed. The currnent war we don't know when it will end. When people who have not been were we have been talk about the wars, and the medals, and ribbons have all faded, for those of us who have fought for it, Freedom has price the protected will never know.

Thumbs down Boats

Here is the words old one, old salt... that even I remember and that is saying something...

"Homeward Bound" from The Road Home by The Choirs of Brigham Young University - © 2003 Tantara Records

http://tantararecords.com/user_pages...-UntilThen.htm

HOMEWARD BOUND

In the quiet misty morning, when the moon has gone to bed,
When the sparrows stop their singing and the sky is clear and red,

When the summer's ceased its gleaming, when the corn is past its prime,
When adventure's lost its meaning, I'll be homeward bound in time.

Bind me not to the pasture. Chain me not to the plow.
Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow.

If you find it's me you're missing, if you're hoping I'll return,
To your thought I'll soon be list'ning; in the road I'll stop and turn.

Then the wind will set me racing as my journey nears its end,
And the path I'll be retracing when I'm homeward bound again.

Bind me not to the pasture. Chain me not to the plow.
Set me free to find my calling and I'll return to you somehow.

In the quiet misty morning when the moon has gone to bed,
When the sparrows stop their singing, I'll be homeward bound again.
