day three of drill
Today the Coast Guard is going to receive 80 some awards for there rescue efforts for Katrina (victums?)
Now the Coast Guard is a terrific organization and do a tremendous amount of good along our nations coasts. That being said, to give an award to rescue someone that stayed in an area to loot (New Orleans area) and now can't get out is not my idea of an award, unless you call waste of taxpayers money , an award. When you drag someones sorry ass out of anywhere where they were commiting crimes , I can't see that as a rescue. In the Fire service we have assisted Police several times getting someone out of a chimny, that person got stuck in trying to enter a building at night, That wasn't a rescue.
