Voter fraud

Based on past elections, the 2008 election should be an all time voter fraud Mecca.
It would be incumbent of our government to come up with a Voter ID that is Social Security based and Positive Id, and Picture.
It seems simple to me anyway.
Anyone wanting to vote in the 2008 election has to bring with them there SS card and submit to an ID picture. In the next 2 years the SS numbers on the card presented would be checked with SS records as to Date of birth , Town of birth , etc. If all is ok, a Voter ID card is sent to that person . The ID will accompany the person to the voting place where the card will be scanned and that person may cast ballot.
Instead of millions of dead people and illegals casting ballots.
And people casting votes more than once.
Geeeee, a honest election.

I am against any form of national ID card and I am against the use of a SSN for any type of identification except for me to pay my wage tax and collect my Social Security.

Looks like a precursor to Nazi Germany to me. "Are you papers in order?"

There must be other ways.

Don't know about anyone else's Social Security (SS) card, but mine has printed on it, "Not to be used for identification." Using a SS card is no more of a positive identification than a verbal statement; any wetback in any town can get a bogus SS card for about $25.

And don't know why there's such a brouhaha about a national ID card - been carrying one since 1963 - except most folks call it a military ID card. Purty much counterfeit proof, and can hold a plethora of information. It would cut down on voter fraud, bogus welfare claims, identify illegals amongst us, and would be quite handy for all other times an ID is needed. There could even be a code for those of us who have a "Concealed Permit" card in our wallets.

Awe Scout, you had to remind me of the fact that I give up my ID card at the end of the year (I turn 23 on Jan. 16 and will have finished by tomorrow my first semester of grad. school, so I will no longer be eligible for my ID card as a dependent). Oh well, all good things must come to pass, but I sure will miss being able to go into clothing sales.

The SS card would just be used as an ID to get the tamper proof Voter card. No one would say you had to provide SS for Id, It's just that if you don't you don't get to vote. No big deal for me.

When applying for a job you have to show a SS card, so whats the big deal. "Looks like a precursor to Nazi Germany to me" Thats funny. To me it looks like someone may want voter fraud to continue. You already have a SS card, and are there government police asking , Let me see your papers? And If they do, so, Show them your SS card. sure would get rid of a lot of Illegals.

Without a national Positive ID card how are we to get rid of the voter fraud? or maybe its ok to have dead people vote, or Illegals vote. I guess if that is the way of your party then it would certainly be a bad thing.
