It is sad and distressing to hear so many people crying out to defund the police. Anyone with any common sense at all knows this action is penny wise and pound foolish. The "Thin Blue Line" is the primary force in maintaining the "nation of laws" concept inherent for a functioning democracy. Police reforms where needed are an ongoing thing that is also part of an effective society. Thousands of law enforcement officers across the country put their lives on the line every day when they hit the streets. It is often a thankless job but one that must be carried out to keep our communities safe and law abiding.

At following link is yet another story of a police officer making the ultimate sacrifice. Sgt Harold Preston in Houston TX worked for 41 years to keep his community safe and lost his life within a few weeks of retirement. He and others like him are the heroes in this country and not the scum and radical movements that are burning and destroying many of our cities and crying out "Defund The Police".

Vote wisely in this upcoming election and know where politicians stand on this and other significant issues.
