The truth is that: “There has never been a single country in the entire history of this Wee-Little World Of Ours that is or has remained, UNITED FOREVER!” And what is even more pathetic is the fact that: most of those nations knew it too!!”

Not the Greeks, not The Romans, Not The British Empire and the way that things are going – not even “The United States of America” stands a tinker’s chance of being eternal for as long as there are those Who Talk The Talk, but lack the ability (or the concern), To Really Walk The Walk!! There is also an age-old saying that goes: “Talk Is Cheap, But It Takes Money To Buy Beer!” (And in this respect, have we really learned nothing over the past five-hundred years?)

I am also just as sure that had you asked any of the former world powers that have ever existed upon the face of this orb, that they too would have insisted that they were also eternal? (oops)

“Well, we do not live on any other planet or in any other country for that matter!” This is “Our Nation” and this is “Our World” (the only one that we are ever likely to have) and unless we quickly come to this realization, chances are (and humanity being what it is), we will eventually “F.U.B.A.R. the Living Hell out of this place as well?”

HC - the truth hurts - and yes your right. Nothing last forever.

Each country writes their own epitates and we currently writing our own
but for how long?

My Sister lost her only daughter yesterday! The sweetest woman
who would go out of her way for anybody. She died of a cervical
cancer. She knew it - but like they - the good always die young.

This Country has been extremely lucky to still hold on to its values.
But the inevitable chances of this remaining in its original ideology
seems to be wavering with each new administration and generation.
Nothing last forever.

Societies change regardless of what's been understood in the past.
Change is alway subject to internal and external transgressions.
This process is currently in flux with the every new leadership -
and has changed over several decades. Or let's say the new
interpretations that are reconfigured by each administration.

All People's "hopes and dreams" are shattered by the process
of change. What once was "no longer exist" or it's been modified
in such a way that it's original characteristics - or its values - are no
longer available or in place.

American values are always in flux. What was originally written has
now altered by time - to now reflect current values as foreseen by
each new leadership.

If we could bring back our Founder's and allow them to review the
articles and amendments - I wonder how they'd vote? Your F.U.B.A.R.
is correct (has several meanings but I will used this one: Fouled Up
Beyond All Recognition. This seems to be the path we are on.

We have the last two years been subjected to usurpers (in many
positions of government). Our concepts of the American Way of
Life.

In 1981, upset by the creed of the right-wing Moral Majority, producer Norman Lear
and other liberals launched People for the American Way. The original mission statement read:

"Our purpose is to meet the challenges of discord and fragmentation with an affirmation of 'the American Way.'
By this, we mean pluralism, individuality, freedom of thought, expression and religion, a sense of community,
and tolerance and compassion for others. People for the American Way will reach out to all Americans and affirm
that in our society, the individual still matters; that there is reason to believe in the future - not to despair of it -
- and that we must strengthen the common cords that connect us as humans and citizens.
We work to ensure access for all Americans to economic opportunity and justice."

(Here's how the Russians define the American Way of Life): Example: Just before that election Pravda (snort),
the ex-voice of the ex-Soviet Union, headlined an editorial: "The American Way of Life Is Dead." The onetime trumpet
of "godless communism" called the America way "godless consumerism." Its conclusion read: "The American way of life,
a system unsustainable by any stretch of the imagination, was facilitated on two facts: cheap gas and a valuable
currency, the currency then morphing into cheap credit."

And so it goes - enough for now but we must not lose site of our values. The American Way of Life - is ours to choose.
Within the law. You can lose your values and self-destruct into non-compliance to a fixed system.
Or you can default go to a 3rd world country and really see how well you had it - before deportation.

Folks none of us are Saints - What we are - is hard working men and women - who struggle to make a living and raise a family.
So when we vote - we must pick the person who we think will do the best for our Country and Each Individual who carries American Values.
