Lightbulb Breaking: Hasan wired money to Pakistan?

Breaking: Hasan wired money to Pakistan?

This would appear to indicate that Nidal Hasan was something other than a loner who cracked under the strain of vicarious PTSD. The man who made a $90,000 annual salary but lived like a pauper may have sent money to Pakistan, according to Rep. Pete Hoekstra:
Authorities have been examining whether Fort Hood massacre suspect Nidal Malik Hasan wired money to Pakistan in recent months, an action that one senior lawmaker said would raise serious questions about Hasan’s possible connections to militant Islamic groups.
Rep. Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich., said sources “outside of the [intelligence] community” learned about Hasan’s possible connections to the Asian country, which faces a massive Islamist insurgency and is widely believed to be Osama bin Laden’s hiding place.
That would explain one mystery that has arisen since the shooting, but apparently didn’t push anyone to connect a few dots before it:
Hasan’s finances have been a mystery since last week, when the Army major and psychiatrist allegedly shot and killed 13 colleagues at the sprawling Central Texas military base. Hasan earned more than $90,000 a year and had no dependents, yet lived in an aging one-bedroom apartment that rented for about $300 a month.
“You can bet there is an ongoing, extensive investigation into every single financial transaction he made,” said Matt Orwig, a former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Texas who has no direct knowledge of the Hasan case. “Federal investigative agencies are very good at tracing the flow of money, both to him and from him.”
Hmmm. So now we have the possibility of overseas money transfers to Pakistan at about the same time the FBI was made aware of repeated communication between Hasan and a 9/11 figure in Yemen. Meanwhile, Hasan — a well-paid medical professional — lived a lifestyle of near-poverty despite living by himself. And no one in the intelligence community thought this required further investigation?
Can the feds track the money, if indeed Hasan has been funding jihadist enemies of the US? Possibly, although the Dallas Morning News notes that Muslims in Pakistan and other areas of radicalization use a transaction form known as hawala. That leaves no paper trail, although any large unexplained cash withdrawals would indicate something nefarious afoot. Transfers to family would not need to get laundered through hawala or have to be conducted outside of normal banking operations, after all.
If prosecutors can prove that Hasan sent money to jihadists in Pakistan, charges of treason become a lot more likely. It would also force the government to consider this a planned terrorist attack, which they have been reluctant so far to conclude.
Update: Had the FBI pressed the connection between Hasan and Aulaqi, perhaps they might have discovered any possible irregularities with Hasan’s finances in time to stop him.

Default Army: Fort Hood suspect charged with murder

FORT HOOD, Texas – The Army psychiatrist suspected in a deadly rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, has been charged in a military court with 13 counts of premeditated murder.

U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command spokesman Chris Grey told a news conference Thursday at the Texas base that additional charges may also be filed against Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan.

Hasan is suspected of killing 12 soldiers and one civilian in last Thursday's shooting spree at Fort Hood. He was shot and wounded by two police officers at the base, and remains in recovery at an Army hospital in San Antonio. His attorney says he was read the charges at the hospital.

THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Military officials say the Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 and wounding 29 in last week's shooting rampage at his military post in Texas will face 13 charges of premeditated murder under the military's legal system. The decision makes him eligible for the death penalty if convicted.

A formal announcement about the charges against Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan is expected later Thursday. Two U.S. military officials described the charges to the AP on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the case publicly.

The officials said it is not yet decided whether to charge Hasan with a 14th count of murder related to the death of the unborn child of a pregnant shooting victim.

Horrible. Senate Panel Finds Fort Hood Shooting Could Have Been Prevented – Refutes Obama

Posted by Jim Hoft on Thursday, February 3, 2011, 12:10 PM

What tragic news… Obama said it was an incomprehensible act.

It looks like he was wrong about that too.

A Senate panel today confirmed that the Fort Hood Shooting in 2009 could have been prevented.

ABC reported:
A new Senate report on the 2009 Fort Hood shooting blames the FBI and Department of Defense for failing to recognize or act on alleged shooter Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan’s extremist views.

The report, released today by Senate Homeland Security Committee chairman Joe Lieberman and ranking Republican Susan Collins, says the FBI and DOD could have prevented the shooting if they had identified Hasan’s radical Islamist views and disciplined or discharged him before the attack occurred.

“Our report’s painful conclusion is that the Fort Hood massacre could have and should have been prevented,” Lieberman said at a press conference today.

“The fact is that both the FBI and the Army were aware of Major Hasan,” Collins said. “This is not a case where a lone wolf was unknown to the FBI, unknown to the military officials, until he struck – and that is the tragedy of this case.”

The November 2009 shooting killed 13 people and wounded 32 others.
During the investigation senators threatened to take the Obama White House to court over their refusal to release information on the November 2009 Fort Hood shootings. Now we know why…

The report also refuted claims made by the Obama Administration.

NPR reported:
Appearing alongside Lieberman, ranking committee member Susan Collins (R-Maine), said the investigation dispels the Obama administration’s early argument that legal restrictions had prevented the FBI from thoroughly investigating Hasan before the shootings. She also said no such restrictions barred agencies from sharing information about Hasan.

At least FBI & DOD: "Identified Hasan's radical Islamic views".

Whereas both OBAMA & DOJ still panderingly contend or act as if quite holy, peaceful & loving of all religions Islam had absolutely nothing to with ANOTHER Mass-Murdering Attack
on American Soil.

Thus and if sane, it must be concluded that FBI & DOD are basically Honest types,...& OBAMA & his Black, Muslim & foreign nationals favoring/biased DOJ most certainly ARE NOT.

Lightbulb Lieberman: Obama Administration Needs to Start Talking About Islamic Extremism

Lieberman: Obama Administration Needs to Start Talking About Islamic Extremism

Posted Tuesday, February 15, 2011 1:10 PM | By David Weigel

The 2009 killings at Fort Hood got their first and possibly only hearing in this Congress today. It followed the release of a report from the Senate's Homeland Security report on Fort Hood, in which researchers argued what conservatives have been arguing -- political correctness might be costing the military the ability to react to Islamic extremism in its midst. That, said witnesses today, is what happened with Nidal Hassan.

"What should have Hasan's military superiors done?" said Gen. Jack Keane, ret. "They should have been able to put the information together and conclude that Hasan believed the same thing that the violent Islamist extremist enemies of this country believe, and that meant he should have been out of the military."

Nearly a dozen survivors (including Sgt. Alonzo Lunsford) or members of victims' families were in the room for this. They didn't hear much in terms of next steps. Lieberman made multiple references to "members of the administration" who were at fault, but didn't name them; he ended the hearing when a vote began, so he did not answer more questions. But his thinking was expressed well in an exchange about terrorism with security consultant J. Philip Mudd.

"As somebody who wants to kill the ideology," said Mudd, "I think we ought to call them what they hate to be called. They like to be called terrorists. They like to be called Islamic radicals. They hate to be called murderers, and that is what they are."

"I'm unconvinced," said Lieberman. "I'm going to call them all of those things, because that's what they are. They're violent Islamist extremists, and they're murderers, and they're terrorists."

"I agree that's what they are," said Mudd, "but I'm saying, don't give them what they want."

Question Report--Obama quietly appoints Muslim Brotherhood to key posts

Report--Obama quietly appoints Muslim Brotherhood to key posts

An ex-CIA agent and counter-intelligence expert has revealed in a special report that Barack Obama has quietly appointed members of the Muslim Brotherhood to key posts within the Administration. Dr. Clare Lopez, professor at the Centre for Counterintelligence and Security Studies, wrote a policy paper in December of 2009 which details the systematic appointment of Sharia-friendly advocates within the State Department and other government agencies.

For example, the Tehran-born Dr. Vali Nasr was appointed to co-direct Obama foreign policy toward Afghanistan and Pakistan. Former Saudi Arabian supplicant Charles Freeman was appointed by Obama to chair the Administration's National Intelligence Council, but withdrew his name when it was revealed he issued a 2-page screed in which he postulated a conspiracy theory claiming he had been 'victimized' by American supporters of Israel. In addition, John Limbert was appointed to direct U.S. policy toward the Islamist regime in Iran. Limbert, who was taken hostage during the Iranian upheaval of the late 70s-early 80s, is an Iranian sympathizer who advocates negotiation with one of the most brutal dictatorships in the world.

A video of Lopez's assessment of Islamist influence in the Obama Administration can be found in the top left column.

While it is true that some of the initial appointees have departed from the Administration, the fix was already in. The Obama Administration is manned by Sharia-friendly appointees who help steer American foreign policy in the Middle East.

Why is this relevant to 2011?

Events which are currently unfolding in the Middle East are a consequence of the behind-the-scenes work of Islamic advocates within the Administration.

According to reports issued by NewsRealBlog, RedState, and LaborUnionReport, secret documents released by Wikileaks indicate that the United States government has been in the process of planning social and political upheaval in the Middle East for at least 2 years--beginning during the waning days of the Bush Administration and continuing under Obama. The goal was to push moderate Muslim dictators out the door in countries such as Egypt, while advocating so-called 'democracy' which would then insure the rise of Muslim Brotherhood-supported Islamists to fill the power-gap.

How would such a grand scheme be accomplished?

The reports expose a consortium of Leftwing organizations, Islamic groups, labor unions, and Obama-friendly corporations which would organize and fund a 'youth movement' in certain areas around the Middle East which would then take to the streets in protest against current governments.

Some of the corporations involved are Google, YouTube, MSNBC, Facebook, National Geographic, M-TV, and Pepsi. In addition, the U.S. State Department, Columbia Law School, and various Islamic extremist groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR, and others are central to the plot.

The goal is to set in motion a domino effect, hoping that regime-change in Eqypt would spread to other nations in the Middle East, and eventually destabilize Europe, and ultimately, the United States.

No sooner had Mubarak been ousted in Eqypt than demands were issued for war with Israel. Egypt's government and Constitution were abolished by the military. The Camp David Accords, which has kept peace between Egypt and Israel since the 1970s, was discarded.

Then, Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi issued a call to the Muslim world to wage war with Israel. There is upheaval in Jordon and Lebannon as well--Israel's closest neighbors.

And while the Obama Administration rushed to jump out in front of the uprising in Egypt to praise its so-called 'push for democracy,' a similar uprising this week in Iran has been met with deafening silence.

Why?

Perhaps some basic facts will provide clues.

Obama's top national security advisor declared that the Muslim Brotherhood is a 'secular' organization, non-extremist, and dedicated to 'peace.' Obama himself, in an interview with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly, refused to refer to the Brotherhood as an Islamic extremist organization, in spite of the fact that the group's own charter, and recent statements made by its leadership, indicate exactly that.

And a Muslim board member of CPAC, of all things, declared in a news conference that 'there is no Muslim Brotherhood in the United States,' despite the fact that the group issued a document in 1991 indicating its North American objectives.

At the very least it is clear that things are not as they seem on the surface in Eqypt, Iran, nor within the Obama Administration and the American Muslim community. And, due to the fact that the mainstream media merely parrots the official Administration propaganda, the American people are being bamboozled.

WOW!!!,...That's Wonderful!

Now even a career politician also states the obvious that: "Obama Administration (of Progressive/Marxist or anti-America Communist Protesters & capitulators to Islam) Needs to Start Talking About Islamic Extremism". Amazing!!!

WHAT NEXT???

Will some career politicos of both government & adoring & supportive press also fess-up about other: "OBVIOUS" pro Islam & pro Foreign Nationals (ENEMIES inclusive) absurdities,...If Honest??

Another obvious factual honesty largely kept from The People is that We insanely put at risk by quite lordly ruling Americans just cannot AFFORD (every whichway possible), much more of Obama Administration's (plus many other zealot officials also) Quite Detrimental to America POLICIES or DICTATES.

I know a lot of people don't like hearing such truths about their adored gods, and much prefer keeping heads in the sand. Regardless,...Screw all such Wild-eyed Fanatical Leftist Garafalo type nuts or loons & groupies!

My main concern is survival of me & mine, friends, countrymen, military & Good Old US of A.

Differently & dictatorially prefer to: "Change" America (?),...then SCREW YOU TOO!!!
